Denia is a beautiful seaside town located in the middle between Alicante and Valencia. Ferries go from here to Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca and Denia also has a large fishing fleet. The town has ancient origins as an original Greek colony named after the goddess Diana. Later it became a Muslim stronghold and there is still a large castle that is fun to explore. Its ferry connections to the Balearic Islands and its fishing fleet have continued to expand, and the town is booming.
