Pilar de la Horadada is located 3 kilometres inland from the beach at El Mojon. The resort is approximately 25 minutes' drive north of Murcia San Javier Airport and approximately one hour's drive south of Alicante Airport. Pilar de la Horadada is ideally situated close to the safe sandy beaches of the Mar Menor. The area is largely agricultural; surrounded by market gardens, orchards, citrus groves and country houses. It is the southernmost town on the Costa Blanca and has seen a great deal of development in recent years.
