information

Villamartin is one of the most famous and fun golf courses in Spain. Ceremonially inaugurated in 1972, it is 6132 meters long, par 72; the fairways are laid with Bermuda grass and the greens with Pennacross. The designer of the course is Paul Putman; any golfer who has been to the Costa Blanca has heard of the long-established Villamartin. And hold him in high esteem.

When golfers arrive to play, the elegant clubhouse welcomes them; an elegant restaurant with a view of the 18 greens, a shop, a practice area and a putting green: everything as best as possible to get you in gear. When the person writing this was there, a special person was ready and offered to clean the clubs before heading to the 1st tee. Everything is done in such a way that if people don't get into their best golf mode, something is wrong.

Villamartin is situated on a hill near the coast between Torrevieja and Murica airport and the first nine holes are played at a considerable height, so that in many places there are magnificent views of the Mediterranean Sea. The second nine holes are played in a wooded valley, where canyons and ravines leave their mark on the design of the course, which obviously has an impact on the game. The design of the course is such that most clubs in the bag must come into play, diverse fairways and surfaces. If you want to get the most out of playing Villamartin, you need to check it out beforehand and plan your game.

Villamartin is a favorite of many golfers, and as one of the most recognized golf courses in Spain, in the almost half-century history of the course, quite a few important tournaments have been held there, so many in fact that it is too long to count. The field is overgrown and a stone's throw away you can find many fun pubs and restaurants where you can watch the game.
