information

The Lo Romero golf course is a relatively new course, but it was opened in 2008. This is a modern course, and for the tech-savvy, a special app can be downloaded to your phone or iPad, where you can find detailed descriptions of the course and each hole individually.

The course is located near the Costa Blanca coastline and the Costa Calida beaches. Designed by Jorge Gallén and Enric Soler, the course is a par 72, 6061 meters long. Gallén and Soler make sure that the golfers get to try as many clubs as possible in the bag, and they do that with a well-thought-out location on the course's numerous bunkers as well as ponds. The course is extremely beautiful and you can see orange and lemon trees by the fairways.

The first nine holes take the landscape very much into account, but the second holes are "designed"; or man-made. Since Lo Romero is located this close to the sea, it can be assumed that the sea breeze can affect the game.

The most well-known hole on the course, and even though it was searched for more widely, the characteristic hole itself, is the 18th. The fairway offers various dangers, bushes and bunkers, and all the time you face the challenge itself; the green that is an island in a pond. 356 meters from the yellow tee and 302 from the red one. Golfers need to have their heads in order there. The longer and bolder players have the chance to reach the green in two shots, while the shorter ones do best to lay up in the second shot and then have a short shot to the hole, over the water.
