information

The La Serena golf course was designed by Manuel Piñero, a well-known golfer who twice played on the European team in the Ryder.

Although the whole course is relatively flat, and not very long, people should beware of the idea that it is an easy course. Water hazards come into play on 16 of the course's 18 fairways, plus local winds in the western Mediterranean area can put a damper on the game. But, if the golfers manage to handle these factors, they could score well. Here it's all about being precise and on the ball. The course is popular among locals and has been around for a long time, and many tournaments have been held at La Serena over the years.

La Serena is a par 72, the length of the course is from the yellow tees 5884 and from the red 4923. The course was inaugurated in 2006. As mentioned before, the course is flat but beautiful and palm trees mark the view.

The location of the course is close to the Mar Menor beach, buildings that can be seen near the course are in a fun Spanish architecture, for example you can see a 500 year old castle style watchtower, specially built and designed to keep an eye on the pirates who owned it ravaging the population centuries before. The clubhouse is particularly nice, large, and there you can find all the main services related to golfers' needs.
