information

The Campoamor golf course is an extremely peaceful and friendly golf course. It is located in a very beautiful, wooded environment - five kilometers from the beach, but well sheltered from the sea breeze and ten kilometers from Alicante airport.

The course was designed by Carmelo Cqarcía Caselles and was inaugurated in 1989, so it is a well-established course that many Icelanders know well; golfers have been avid visitors to the Torrevieja area throughout history and for good reason. The course is 6203 meters long and par 72.

Although Campoamor is a forest course, with palm and orange trees framing the fairways, few of the fairways are narrow and the course is mostly not penalized. Most people should be able to enjoy playing the course regardless of how far they have come in the good sport. The first nine holes of the course can be described as such, but the second nine are more varied as the course lies in more terrain. For example, the 11th hole can be mentioned, where the bolder and longer hitters can cut their way through the woods to the green with a successful shot. And even have a chance of an eagle.

The course is characterized by an exceptionally elegant clubhouse that is connected to a four-star hotel that stands there. There is a very good restaurant at the stadium and on the terrace in front you can see the coast, from Torrevieja to La Manga del Mar Menor, if the visibility is good. There are good training facilities at the course, where the popular golf coach Ívar Hauksson has worked as a head instructor. You can hardly think of a better place to improve your golf than at Campoamor.
