information

This pitch was designed by Severiano Ballesteros himself and you really don't need another reason to visit this pitch; such a legend as Seve is. But, we don't put the point there. There are many things to strive for other than being able to tell about having played a field after Ballesteros. Alicante golf is a unique course, the only one in the whole Iberian Peninsula, and even if it is widely sought, (par 72, 6057 meters of yellow tees and 538 of reds) which has six par three, six par four and six par five holes. This can be said to rhyme well with the originality that characterized Ballesteros' game.

For those with a long shot, there are good chances to get a birdie on all the par five holes even though the greens are well protected. The course has seven water hazards and, of course, you better keep your balls dry if you want to score well. On the fourteenth hole there is an obstacle that is absolutely unique, you have to go by the ruins of "Villa Ferrer", a building that dates back to the time of the Romans or 1 year before Christ. These ruins were discovered when the stadium was built.

It is mentioned how well-maintained this course is, open every day of the year except Christmas Day, and the reader should not need to be reminded of the importance of showing up warm to the 1st tee. At Alicante golf, all the facilities are exemplary; great practice facilities where people hit grass, bunkers and putting greens, all you have to do is try to be at your best when the first shot is hit. Because it is a special experience to play this course and people should not let such an opportunity pass them by, let it slip away.
